Daryl Ong is set to join Bugoy Drilon and other artists in the inaugural Las Islas Music Festival.
The show, which is set to feature artists such as Claudia Barretto and Sam Mangubat, aims to introduce a young generation of musicians to other parts of the country.
“I think the purpose of this concert is para maipakita and maidala ‘yung OPM artists and mga bagong tunog ngayon,” he said. He went on: “I’m happy po. Abangan po nila. May ginagawa kaming album with the boys - Michael and Daryl.”
Meanwhile, Daryl revealed that a plan to do a BuDaKhel concert is also in the works.
“Next year, hopefully na matuloy na magka-concert kami na buo kami. Kasi nung nakaraan kami lang ni Bugoy. Hindi nagtagpo ‘yung mga bagay-bagay. Pero hopefully next year matuloy na magka-show kaming tatlo,” Ong said.
The balladeer also revealed that the three of them are focusing on making original music right now, among others.
“So ‘yun nga ngayon focus kami sa pagcreate ng mga original songs. Hindi naman namin sinasara ang paggawa ng covers kasi siyempre marami kaming supporters na ‘yun ‘yung inaabangan sa amin. And actually may ialalabas si Bugoy sa YouTube channel niya very soon. And si Khel din meron din sa YouTube channel niya. Pero after that, sabi ko try namin mag-focus ng original songs,” he added.
Other artists who are set to perform at the Las Islas Music Festival are Star Music talents Jade Riccio and 1NEBAZE.
Las Islas Music Festival Visayas leg is happening on these dates: Oct. 25 at Bacolod Panaad Stadium, Oct. 26 at Iloilo Barotac Nuevo Plaza, and Oct. 27 at Aklan Sports Complex. All shows start at 6 in the evening.
